About

Built by a pitcher who lived the problem

Athlete Engine didn't come from a lab or a boardroom. It came from the bullpen.

Athlete Engine was founded by a college pitcher who spent years watching teammates lose seasons to arm injuries that, with the right information, might have been caught early.

Throwing at Gustavus Adolphus and then the University of San Francisco, the same gap kept showing up: nobody had a simple way to connect how a pitcher felt, how they trained, and how they performed. Workload lived in a spreadsheet. Arm care lived on a whiteboard. Wellness lived in someone's memory. The data existed — it just never came together in time to matter.

"If we could see the whole picture in one place, we could keep guys healthy and help them get better. So I built it."

The first version was a web app, used with the USF athletic training staff through a full season. The result that started it all: 22 pitchers tracked, zero season-ending arm injuries.

Today Athlete Engine is a full mobile platform — built with input from active college and professional players — designed for the programs that don't have a seven-figure analytics budget but care just as much about their pitchers. D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO, high school, and private facilities. The arms that too often get overlooked.

The mission is simple: keep arms healthy, help pitchers get better, and give coaches the full picture — with minimal time and effort.

Built by players

Every feature is shaped by people who've actually been on the mound and in the training room.

Health first

Performance matters, but healthy arms come first. Injury prevention is the foundation of everything we build.

Outcomes over features

We don't measure success in dashboards. We measure it in healthy seasons and better pitchers.

We're working with a small group of programs to get this right. Yours could be one of them.
